BLUE HILL METEOROLOGICAL OBSERVATORY MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS ELEVATION 635 FEET, 10 MILES SSW OF BOSTON, MA TUESDAY MAY 25, 2021 ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME SUNRISE: 0414E SUNSET:  1909E BREEZY AND WARM WITH PLENTY OF SUNSHINE TODAY.... The break from hot and humid weather continues today although it's warmer today than it was yesterday. Despite the warmth, the air is still dry for now with dew points gradually rising through the 40s into early this afternoon. Tomorrow will be a totally different story with dew points rising back to the mid 60s along with temperatures well into the 80s to near 90. Visibility has been declining as the day goes on, starting at around 40 miles this morning slipping to only 25 miles early this afternoon. This increase in haziness is mostly due to pollen in the air, but may also be a sign of the increasing moisture content as well. What we really need is some rainfall, however not too much of that looks to be in the offering over the next few days. A couple of chances, one tomorrow with decaying thunderstorms possible late afternoon and evening. Then another chance late Friday into Saturday. Fingers crossed! Otherwise the last measurable rainfall occurred 9 days ago with only 0.01" being measured. The monthly deficit has exceeded an inch and a quarter, and the annual total is four and three quarters inches below normal. The high so far today is 74F, which is 5 degrees above the normal high of 69F. The low since midnight is 47F, which is 4 degrees below the daily normal low of 51F. Today's Observations: 7 A.M.
