BLUE HILL METEOROLOGICAL OBSERVATORY MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS ELEVATION 635 FEET, 10 MILES SSW OF BOSTON, MA FRIDAY, JANUARY 22, 2021 ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME SUNRISE: 0706E SUNSET:  1646E MOSTLY CLOUDY, POKES OF SUN, MILDER.... We recorded another day yesterday of light snow. This marks the 10th day this month with falling snow. However, only 5 of these days were measurable with at least 0.1 inches on the ground. We currently have only collected 2.0 inches of snow so far this month, which is on pace for the 9th least snowiest January on record here. Speaking of deficits, we are approximately 1 inch below average for precipitation. Yesterday also marked the conclusion of our above average streak. Wednesday the 20th marked the 31st consecutive day of above normal temperatures, which commenced on December 21st! Yesterday was also the first below normal day since December 19th! Today, we began under most cloudy skies thanks to a blanket of mid-level Altocumulus.  Altocumulus dissipated and gave way to broken cumulus. Visibility has not been too great - 50 miles at best despite good dew point depressions. Today is also noticeably warmer with the high so far reaching 42F. Winds are averaging 9 MPH with a peak gust so far of 25 MPH. The high temperature so far today is 42F, this is 8 degrees above the daily normal maximum of 34F. The low since midnight is 29F, which is 12 degrees above the normal minimum of 17F. Today's Observations: 7 A.M.
