BLUE HILL METEOROLOGICAL OBSERVATORY MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS ELEVATION 635 FEET, 10 MILES SSW OF BOSTON, MA FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 27, 2020 ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME STILL OVERCAST, BUT MUCH DRIER WITH EXCELLENT VISIBILITY TODAY... We hope everyone had a happy, healthy, and safe Thanksgiving! Yesterday's storm totaled 0.37" of needed rainfall putting us at just -0.23" below for the month, and -2.83" below on the year. The precipitation exited the area late afternoon leaving considerable fog in its wake lasting well into the night. Skies were clear to start at 7AM today, though quickly giving way to mostly cloudy conditions. Winds have eased from yesterday's peak of 36 MPH and average of 13.8 MPH. Winds are now predominantly from the WNW averaging about 7 MPH. Temperatures only bottomed out at 46 degrees overnight. Not much diurnal heating today thanks to the cloud cover - we've only tacked on 7 degrees to the low so far today. Interestingly, despite a relatively narrow dew point depression of 6 degrees (53/47, 81% humidity), visibility has been excellent.  80 miles was the call at 1 PM...some of the best viewing conditions found here. The high so far today is 53F, 7 degrees above the daily normal high of 46F. The low since midnight is 46F, 16 degrees above the normal low of 30F.  Today's Observations: 7 A.M.
