BLUE HILL METEOROLOGICAL OBSERVATORY MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS ELEVATION 635 FEET, 10 MILES SSW OF BOSTON, MA FRIDAY, JUNE 26, 2020 ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME A TRANQUIL MORNING GIVES WAY TO AFTERNOON DISTANT THUNDERSTORMS... Mild, dry, and sunny conditions ruled for the majority of the morning. Dew points remained in the upper-50s to low-60s, though as the early afternoon approached dew points nudged up a few degrees. With a boundary layer approaching from the southeast, sunshine gave way to developing cumulus. Amidst the 1PM observation, moderate to towering cumulus were observed to our southeast with a notable cumulonimbus/thunderstorm cell embedded in that direction. Winds have been fairly gentle for most of the day, though reaching 23 MPH as the outflow from that thunderstorm cell passed through. We continue to return to the nearly 4 inch precipitation deficient from last week - sitting at 3.87 inches at the moment.   The high so far today is 83 degrees, this is 5 degrees above the daily normal high of 78F. The low since midnight is 65F, which is 5 degrees above the daily normal low of 60F. Today's Observations: 7 A.M.
