BLUE HILL METEOROLOGICAL OBSERVATORY MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS ELEVATION 635 FEET, 10 MILES SSW OF BOSTON, MA SATURDAY, JUNE 20, 2020 ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME HOT WITH INCREASING CLOUDS AND A SOUTHWESTERLY WIND.... Today we experienced abundant sunshine in the morning, with skies becoming mostly cloudy in the afternoon hours. Visibility was 65 miles on average due to a distant haze. A distant cumulonimbus cloud was seen to the northwest at the 10 P.M. observation, later seen to be a thunderstorm near Laconia, NH. Great Blue Hill is officially in an abnormally dry pattern. The on-going drought places us at 1.10 inches below the monthly normal, yet nearly 4 inches below the average for the year! There does not appear to be any notable rainmakers over the next several days. -Andrew Swanson The high so far today is 89 degrees, this is 13 degrees above the daily normal high of 76F.
