BLUE HILL METEOROLOGICAL OBSERVATORY MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS ELEVATION 635 FEET, 10 MILES SSW OF BOSTON, MA FRIDAY, JULY 10, 2020 ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME MORE CLOUDS THAN YESTERDAY, WHILE WARMTH AND MUGGINESS CONTINUE... A foggy start gave way to mostly cloudy skies thanks to the northern flank of clouds associated with Tropical Storm Fay, its center located approximately 300 miles to our southwest. We noted a fog bank developing along the shore and moving into downtown Boston by early afternoon. Visibility only reached 35 miles today thanks in part to the high humidity. As such, the air continues to be very sticky with dew points hovering in the lower-70s. There is a light yet consistent wind from the southeast, with a max gust of only 20 mph so far today. The high so far today is 83 degrees, this is 2 degrees above the daily normal high of 81F. The low since midnight is 70F, which is 7 degrees above the daily normal low of 63F.
