We started the day With quiet conditions. A mix of sun and mainly high clouds, transitioned to cumulus and towering cumulus, then finally cumulonimbus by late morning with a few showers and thunderstorms taking place early this afternoon. Wind has been quite light today with an average since 7 A.M. of only 3.3 mph. Wind direction has also been quite variable swinging to all directions depending on location of thunderstorms (outflow from the storms). 0.12" of rain fell between 11-12, with an additional 0.03" fall after the 1 P.M. observation. Showers are continuing to fall through mid afternoon, so we'll have a total tally tomorrow morning. The high so far today is 85F, 6 degrees above the daily normal maximum of 79F.
