BLUE HILL METEOROLOGICAL OBSERVATORY  MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS ELEVATION 635 FEET, 10 MILES SSW OF BOSTON, MA DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY MONDAY, MARCH 30, 2015      ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME   PLENTIFUL SUNSHINE SUNDAY TURNS TO  CLOUDS AND SNOW SHOWERS MONDAY Plentiful sunshine, along with above-freezing temperatures helped to reduce the snow pack on Great Blue Hill once again to below one foot. A depth of 11 inches was measured at this morning's 7:00 AM EST observation, with patches of bare ground and deeper drifts present across the summit. There was brief sunshine around sun rise this morning, which quickly became obscured following a thick layer of altocumulus entering the region. Snow began to fall very lightly at approximately 7:45 AM EST, lasting until 8:42 AM EST, amounting to just a trace of snow and melt. Snow started up once more at 11:04 AM EST, and continued through the 1:00 PM EST observation, though was falling very light and intermittently. Temperatures have struggled to climb out of the 30s, with a maximum reading of 37F recorded during the afternoon observation.
