BLUE HILL METEOROLOGICAL OBSERVATORY MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS ELEVATION 635 FEET, 10 MILES SSW OF BOSTON, MA   DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY FRIDAY, OCTOBER 18, 2013 ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME   MILD AND WINDY OCTOBER DAY BRIEF RAIN SHOWER OVERNIGHT   Temperatures have once again risen into the mid 60s which will mark the 22nd consecutive day (starting back on Sept. 27th) that our average daily temperatures have all been at or above normal which included 5 days which averaged right on the normal.  This also means that there have been no cooler than average days extending back 3-weeks.   Aside from the warm temperatures, winds have been fairly gusty out of the west today with an average of about 15 mph so far, and a high gust of 32 mph. Dew points have also fallen into the mid to upper 40s providing for dry conditions. There was a brief shower associated with a passing cold front just before midnight leaving us with 0.06 inch. Our dry month continues, as we still remain 1.54" below average. Visibility has been excellent today as well, with Grand Monadnock visible out to our northwest, partially thanks to the low humidity.     Today's Observations:   7 A.M.
