DRIER AIR MOVED IN EARLY MORNING ON BLUSTERY WINDS -
A SIGN OF THINGS TO COME AS WE BRACE FOR LOW TEMPS AND HIGH WINDS SUNDAY
 
The air mass began drying out shortly after 2:00 A.M. and continued to do so
throughout the day, with dew points reaching into the teens. Stiff northwest
winds have been omnipresent today, averaging over 15 MPH through 2:00 P.M.
and mustering gusts of up to 37 MPH.
 
Clear morning skies gradually became littered with incoming cirrus and
cirrocumulus, and without direct sunlight temperatures began to fall from
their high of 44F.
 
After yesterday’s total of 0.22 inch of rain we are still 2.24 inches short 
of our monthly average for November, and exactly 3.00 inches short of our 
annual average.
 
In anticipation of the expected cold over the next few days, below are a
few current cold temperature records that could be challenged:
