The fast 2-min. av. was 35 MPH ENE yesterday afternoon at 12:50 P.M.    As of 1 P.M. early this afternoon the snow total has doubled the 7 A.M. reading and the storm total has reached 5.4 inches here on the summit, maybe half of that at the base of the hill.  Light snow is continuing.   As of 1 P.M. the total melted for the six hours ending at that time is 0.38 inch for 2.7 inches of snow. The melted total for the entire event including a small amount of rain, snow, and ice pellets yesterday is now over 0.9 inch.   Today's observations:   7 A.M.
