With these storms, 0.45 inch fell, with overnight drizzle and a rain shower this morning adding an additional 0.14 inch. The warm front moved through the area between 5 and 6 A.M. EDT, shifting the wind direction from NE to SE. The wind has continued to veer today, and is now from the S this afternoon. The change in wind direction and a little bit of sun today has warmed temperatures into the mid 70s, with the dew point temperature not too far behind in the lower 70s. There is certainly a muggy feel to the air today. The S winds have been strong at times this afternoon, with occasional gusts of 25-35 mph. June 2013 remains the fourth wettest on record so far at Blue Hill. Some unsettled weather is expected for the final few days of the month, which may move this month higher on the list.
