BLUE HILL METEOROLOGICAL OBSERVATORY MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS ELEVATION 635 FEET, 10 MILES SSW OF BOSTON, MA FRIDAY, JUNE 21, 2013 ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME TEMPERATURES WARMING, MOISTURE INCREASING Winds became SSW late yesterday, and a general SW-WSW flow continues today, transporting warmer, more moist air into the region. Temperatures are a little warmer than yesterday, with today's afternoon high reaching 80F so far. This is the start to a warming trend that is forecast to push temperatures into the 90s early next week, and temperatures may approach record values (listed below). Moisture has increased markedly, with dew point temperatures rising from the mid 50s this morning to the low 60s this afternoon. Haze has increased as a result, reducing visibility from 40 miles this morning to 25-35 miles this afternoon. With the increased moisture and daytime heating, cumulus have formed this afternoon. In fact, a few towering cumulus with dark bases have developed.
