The storm total rainfall has reached 0.57 inch through 2 P.M. EDT, with plenty more on the way. The rain has been moderate at times this afternoon. Temperatures are certainly on the chilly side with a persistent E wind. Our low temperature of 51F this morning was a few degrees below the 30-year normal of 54F. However, today's high temperature is struggling to reach 60F, and is well below the 30-year normal for the date of 73F. Winds are beginning to pick up this afternoon with a few gusts reaching 20-25 mph. The summit has been in the fog for much of the day, with visibility generally near 1/2 mile. The stratus is lifting off the summit from time to time this afternoon, allowing for visibility to briefly improve to near 5 miles. Today's observations: 7 A.M.
