A very warm and humid first week of July has averaged almost 8 degrees warmer than normal.   The overnight low temperature recorded this morning of 73F was 10 degrees above the normal for this date.   A back-door cold front passed over the summit at close to 11:40 A.M. late this morning with a sudden wind shift from WSW to ENE but with no gusts.  The cooler air mass from off the ocean is checking the high temperature in the low 80's but with continued humid conditions The dew points have remained in the lower 70's into early this afternoon and visibility has dropped to only 10 miles in haze in the wake of the frontal passage.   Today's Observations:   7 A.M.
