BLUE HILL METEOROLOGICAL OBSERVATORY MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS ELEVATION 635 FEET, 10 MILES SSW OF BOSTON, MA   DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY SUNDAY, DECEMBER 1, 2013 ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME   HUMID AND CLOUDY START TO DECEMBER NOVEMBER ENDS COOLER AND DRIER THAN AVERAGE   December has started right on par as far as temperatures are concerned, with today’s high and low readings nearly matching the 20 year average. Low stratocumulus clouds have provided a complete overcast throughout the day with the exception of a few breaks during sunrise. Occasional light rain and even some frozen precipitation popped up sporadically but only amounting to traces. Station pressure has plummeted in the past 28 hours, from a peak of 30.03 in Hg around 10 A.M. yesterday to 29.41 in Hg at 2 P.M. today and it is still falling.   November ended on a chilly run of days (with the exception of Thanksgiving Eve,) resulting in average temps for the month falling 1.7 degrees per day below the 30 year average. The month also ended 1.17 inches short of the average precipitation and 2.1 inches short in snowfall, which enhances the dry trend for 2013.   Today's Observations:   7 A.M.
