BLUE HILL METEOROLOGICAL OBSERVATORY MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS 02186 ELEVATION 635 FEET, 10 MILES SSW OF BOSTON, MA   DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY SUNDAY, JUNE 6, 2010  ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME   IMPRESSIVE WIND SHIFT AND WARM FRONTAL PASSAGE THIS AFTERNOON.....   In spite of the severe weather threat and a tornado watch issued Saturday afternoon, conditions remained relatively dry throughout the evening and into Sunday morning. Intermittent, light rain showers brought only 0.02 inch of precipitation to the summit while heavier showers moved north.   Around 11:45 A.M. EDT an impressive wind shift from east-southeast to south occurred followed by a warm frontal passage. As a result, temperatures raced to 80F by 2 P.M. EDT while a peak wind gust of 43 MPH was recorded at 2:16 P.M.
