BLUE HILL METEOROLOGICAL OBSERVATORY MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS 02186 ELEVATION 635 FEET, 10 MILES SSW OF BOSTON, MA DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY SUNDAY, APRIL 26, 2009 ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME NEW RECORD HIGH TEMPERATURE FOR APRIL 25 OF 83F SURPASSES PREVIOUS RECORD OF 80F POSSIBLE NEW RECORD AGAIN TODAY The maximum temperature of 83F (83.2) occurred at 3:38 P.M. EDT yesterday afternoon setting a new record for the date. The previous record was 80F in 1942. Also, this was the warmest temperature since early September 2008, when the highs were 85 and 86 on the 4th and 5th. Last night was an unusually warm night for late April with low temperatures of 64F before midnight and 65F early this morning, which would easily be a new record for the date if it were to hold through midnight. The record high minimum temperature for April 26 is 55F recorded in 1985. The temperature had reached 82F late this morning and it appears that today's record of 83F set in 1908 will be equaled or exceeded. Today's weather observations: 7 A.M.
