Only a few clouds have drifted through the mostly sunny sky today, and the temperature has climbed quickly on the southerly breeze. From the morning low of 49, the temperature reached 79 degrees by 2 PM EDT, and as of 2:30 PM EDT it has climbed to a new record high of 82. This surpasses the previous record for this date of 80 set in 1942.
