ASOS gust 52 MPH @ 2:32 p.m.; 2-minute sustained 38 MPH Aerovane gust 53 MPH The strongest winds of the the month to date have been averaging about 25 MPH since 8 A.M. EDT Peak gusts have reached 47 MPH on the ASOS system and 48 MPH on our Aerovane recorder.  Gusts to 48 MPH have also been recorded on the Maximum, Inc. instruments and 51 MPH on Davis. The highest sustained speed is 35 MPH S recorded on ASOS.    Unseasonably warm late October weather continues today with the morning minimum temperature equaling a high minimum record set on this date in 1942 if it hold through midnight tonight.  Yesterday's high of 80 degrees was 22 degrees above the normal but not a record.  The month is currently averaging 7 degrees above the 30-year average.   Below are some warm October numbers:   Average max temp for Oct 1-22 ranks 5th warmest on record and average min temp ranks warmest on record.  The 86 on 10/5 ties for third warmest temp in October and warmest since 1963.
