BLUE HILL METEOROLOGICAL OBSERVATORY MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS 02186 ELEVATION 635 FEET, 10 MILES SSW OF BOSTON, MA   DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY SATURDAY, OCTOBER 6, 2007    ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME   EARLY OCTOBER HEAT RECORDS SET LONG DRY SPELL CONTINUES...   At 3:39 P.M. EDT yesterday the maximum temperature reached a new record high of 86.4F (86) surpassing the old record for October 5th of 85 degrees set in 1922.  The minimum temperature for yesterday of 61 degrees was one degree short of the record high minimum of 62 degrees established in 1910.   On October 4th our high temperature of 84 degrees surpassed the previous record of 83 degrees set in 1898 and 1959. The minimum temperature of 65 degrees equaled the record highest minimum temperature previously set in 1927.   We could approach today's record high temperature which is 83 degrees set in 1990.
