The high and low temperatures on Friday were 42 and 39, and the 42 is a new record low maximum temperature for May 18th, surpassing the previous 48 in 1895 and 1956. The rainfall that began early on Friday has amounted to 2.33 inches through 7 AM this morning, with additional light rain and drizzle after that time. The calendar day rainfall for Friday has not yet been finalized, but it will be about 1.90 inches. This will also set a new record for May 18th, surpassing 1.58 inches in 2002.
