BLUE HILL METEOROLOGICAL OBSERVATORY MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS 02186 ELEVATION 635 FEET, 10 MILES SSW OF BOSTON, MA   DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY TUESDAY, JANUARY 9, 2007  ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME   YESTERDAY'S STORM BROUGHT 0.69 INCH RAINFALL WIND GUSTS TO 45 MPH W DURING THE LATE EVENING   Rainfall totaled 0.69 inch yesterday with measurable rainfall recorded for each hour from 1 a.m. through 4 p.m. Wind gusts reached near 40 MPH from the east during the early morning hours while the peak gust for the day of 45 MPH W occurred late last evening.   Yesterday was yet another day with temperatures averaging far above the normal and for the second day in a row a departure of plus 18 degrees was recorded.  Only two days since Dec. 9th have had below normal temperatures and only by one degree each on December 29th and 30th.
