BLUE HILL METEOROLOGICAL OBSERVATORY MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS 02186 ELEVATION 635 FEET, 10 MILES SSW OF BOSTON, MA   DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY TUESDAY, DECEMBER 4, 2007 ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME   UNSEASONABLY COLD WEATHER FOR VERY EARLY DECEMBER CONTINUES   The additional snowfall of 0.5 inch came from afternoon snow- flurries yesterday before precipitation ended in the late afternoon. This brought the event total to exactly 2.0 inches of which a bit more than 1 inch remains on the ground today.  There were icy conditions on the summit this morning although our road to the summit was bare after being heavily treated.   Temperatures dipped to 17 degrees early this morning along with continued gusty winds.  Early morning wind gusts reached near 50 MPH W around 1 a.m. as temperatures dropped through the 20's with the arrival of a re-inforcement of Arctic air.
