By early this afternoon our temp- erature was already in the mid-80's and still heading up under full sunshine and light south to southwest winds.  Dewpoints were in the mid and upper 50's;  once again a day like yesterday with low humidity.   Our August rainfall continues at only 0.62 inch, far below the normal of 4.06 inches.  The month could slide into second place in the ranking of driest Augusts.
