This ties the record high temperature for the date of 93 previously set in 1947 and 1948. With the dew point reaching 73 degrees, the heat index has peaked at 102 early this afternoon. The sky and horizon are very hazy with visibility remaining under 10 miles all day. Other than the haze, only a few cirrus are filtering the strong sunshine today.
