The low temperature on the summit was 52 degrees this morning, which was the lowest temperature since 50 on 2 July. Norwood airport, at 500 feet lower elevation reported a minimum temperature of 41 degrees. This temperature inversion caused some looming of the hills along the horizon as viewed from the summit early this morning, especially to the south and north. Rain showers on Friday amounted to just 0.19 inch, bringing the monthly total up to 0.46 inch. Dew point temperatures in the 40s early today have climbed back to the middle 50s by early afternoon as warmer and more humid air begins to return. Today's observations: 7 A.M.
