The final storm total for the Friday rainfall was 1.09 inches including heavy rain in the morning, showers in the afternoon and drizzle later in the evening. Dense fog persisted on the summit into mid-morning today, with strong sunshine after 11 AM EDT pushing the temperature to the mid-60s. Moderate building cumulus are filling the sky this afternoon, with a chance of showers into tomorrow. Friday's rainfall brought the monthly total precipitation up to 8.50 inches, making this at least the 5th wettest April on record with more rainfall possible the next few days. The combined precipitation for March-April is up to 14.52 inches after a dry start to the year with just 5.72 inches combined in January and February.
