After starting the day mostly cloudy with good visibility, especially to the northwest, lower clouds moved in after 8 AM EDT and the visibility began to lower. Light snow began at 9:25 AM EDT with a temperature of 35. Light snow continued into early afternoon. It become only flurries for a time from 12:30-1:30 PM EDT, with visibility rising to better than 40 miles in most directions, before the snow picked up again after that time. The total snowfall and precipitation was a trace for the six hours ending at 2 PM EDT. However, as of 3 PM, the snowfall intensity has increased to nearly moderate snow with the visibility dropping to 1/2-3/4 mile in all directions, and 0.2 inch of snow has accumulated on the boards giving us the first measurable snow of the season on the summit.
