Early this afternoon the temperature was rising into the upper 80's and possibly heading for 90 degrees to start the first heat wave in three summers or since August, 2002. Conditions are becoming very dry with only a little over one quarter inch of rain in over two weeks. The June total remains at 0.84 inch after weekend thunderstorms missed us here in this area.
