May 22nd, the day that the rain finally came, brought a total of 0.78 inch of rainfall in the standard rain gage here. ASOS had 0.74 inch including one hundredth that tipped in early this morning. We also noted a total of 0.74 inch in the 4-inch plastic and TruChek gages for yesterday. Only traces of rain have occurred for today so far. Winds have veered from NE yesterday to ESE today and temperatures have risen to the low 60's after being held to a high of only 53 on Tuesday. Peak wind gusts reached 29 MPH from the NE yesterday morning and 30 MPH ESE this morning.
