National Weather Service Experts to Speak at Gala Event-Tickets Still Available!

This is one of the few  opportunities that weather enthusiasts will ever have to meet and listen to two of the country's leading weather experts discussing our recent dramatic weather events in a small, intimate setting. Both the Directors of the National Hurricane Center (Bill Read) and the National Prediction Center (Dr. Lous Uccellini) will be discussing recent  (Irene) and future weather events (winter weather) . The event will be  hosted by NECN Meteorologist  Tim Kelley.

Open House

begins at 10 a.m.


Join us starting at 10 AM for our annual Fall open house at the Observatory! Activities include kite making for $5 per kit, lectures about the weather and Observatory history, and self guided tours of the facility including the beautiful view from the top of the observing tower!
