BLUE HILL METEOROLOGICAL OBSERVATORY MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS ELEVATION 635 FEET, 10 MILES SSW OF BOSTON, MA DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY MONDAY, JUNE 25, 2018 ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME BREEZY DAY WITH COOLER TEMPERATURES AND A PASSING SHOWER... The wind picked up since yesterday's light wind and we have a peak gust so far today of 26 kts (30 MPH). The breezes were cool with wind coming from the NW then switching to the NE around 11:00 A.M. So far today the high temperature is below normal with a high so far of 70F. This is 8 degrees below the daily normal of 78F. A couple of showers and thunderstorms began late last night and ended early this morning. So far today we measured 0.39 ins. since 7:00 A.M. yesterday. A quick moving rain shower began around 11:15 A.M. EST and ended around 11:20 A.M. EST left an additional 0.01 ins. of rainfall since 7:00 A.M. High pressure in the area allowed cloud cover to decreased after the short rain shower. This made for a sunny but breezy afternoon afternoon.
