Temperatures today were warmer than yesterday with a  max so far of 88F. This is 7 degrees above the daily normal of 81F. Although this is high it is not record breaking. The record for this day of 99F was set back in 1999. Overnight temperatures were also well above normal with a low so far of 71F, which is 8 degrees  above the daily normal of 63F. Dew points today in the  low 70's made for very sticky and humid air. Wind from  the south was moderate today with a peak gust of 27 kts (31 MPH) by 2:00 P.M.EST. Wind from the south also kept the haze in area with a max of 35 miles at 10:00 A.M., becoming thicker at 1:00 P.M. limiting visibility to 15-25 miles. The clouds increased today as pressure  began to drop. These clouds produced distant lightning  from W-NW at the 1:00 P.M. observation.  Today's Observations: 7 A.M.
