BLUE HILL METEOROLOGICAL OBSERVATORY MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS ELEVATION 635 FEET, 10 MILES SSW OF BOSTON, MA DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY MONDAY, OCTOBER 9, 2017   ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME RECORD HIGH MINIMUM TEMPERATURE FOR SUNDAY, POSSIBLE RECORD TODAY Yesterday's minimum temperature of 67F was a new daily record for high minimum temperature.  It broke the previous record of 60F set in 1944.  67F is the highest minimum temperature ever recorded at BHO for October having also been measured on October 13, 1990, and today's minimum of 68F could break that record as well if the fog and overcast skies keep temperatures warm enough over night.   Temperatures had reached 71F by 1:00PM EST. Intermittent rain and drizzle measured 0.03 in. for the six-hour total at 1:00PM.  The fog and overcast skies were clearing slightly in the early afternoon as another round of rain when visibility reached 15 miles and ceilings were at approximately 1,300 feet.  Winds remain out of the south and have been gusting up to 25 MPH.
