BLUE HILL METEOROLOGICAL OBSERVATORY MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS ELEVATION 635 FEET, 10 MILES SSW OF BOSTON, MA DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY SATURDAY, JUNE 18, 2016 ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME VERY SUNNY AND SEASONABLE After a sunny day on Friday and thunderstorm formed to the NE of the Observatory during the late evening. This brought only traces of precipitation as it passed east of the summit moving toward the south during the 10-11 PM EST hour. A temporary wind shift from the SSW to the NNE was observed as the storm approached with two wind gusts of 23 mph occurring during that hour. Since midnight, the wind direction has veered from SSW to ENE as of early afternoon. The sky was completely free of clouds during the first two observations this morning with only small cumulus forming inland later in the day. Visibility remained near 70-75 miles with a dew point in the upper 40s to low 50s all day. Today's Observations: 7 A.M.
