Heavy rain that fell throughout the day yesterday finally came to an end around 7:00 PM last evening, totaling 1.55 inches on the day. Precipitation for the month of January and the year is now 0.13 inches above normal so far, but snowfall is below normal for the month and season at -5.4 inches and -20.1 inches respectively. Gusty winds that reached a peak of 53 MPH from the SSE  yesterday afternoon have relaxed somewhat since yesterday, although they have continued to reach near 40 MPH today.
