BLUE HILL METEOROLOGICAL OBSERVATORY MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS ELEVATION 635 FEET, 10 MILES SSW OF BOSTON, MA DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 14, 2015 ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME SHOWERS LEAVE A TRACE OF RAIN FRIDAY AFTERNOON, GUSTY WINDS CONTINUE AS COOL TO SEASONABLE TEMPS VISIT THE REGION Rain showers passed through the region yesterday afternoon, leaving just a trace of new precipitation here on top of Great Blue Hill. Showers stopped and started multiple times between 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM EST. Gusty winds yesterday that peaked at 40 MPH just after the 1:00 PM EST observation, have continued this morning as well, hitting the 40 MPH mark once again on some anemometers. Skies have been partly to mostly cloudy, with much cooler temperatures. Today may be the first cooler than normal day for the month of November, which has been averaging 8.7 degrees F above normal with nearly half of the month completed. By the 1:00 PM EST observation, clouds cover nearly all of the sky and upper level Cirrostratus clouds had begun to move in from the West. These clouds were obscured by the Broken cloud deck of Stratocumulus clouds. Temperatures had begun to fall back into the lower 40's.
