Visibility improved significantly from 60 to 80 miles in all directions under clear conditions aided by cool, dry Canadian air.  By the 1:00 PM EST observation only high cirrus were visible in mostly the southern half of the sky. Prevailing visibility was 75 miles, with a sector visibility of 60 miles from ESE-WSW. A maximum temperature of 62F had been recorded by this time.
