BLUE HILL METEOROLOGICAL OBSERVATORY MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS ELEVATION 635 FEET, 10 MILES SSW OF BOSTON, MA DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY SUNDAY, JUNE 28, 2015 ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME   ANOTHER RAINY SUNDAY ALONG WITH GUSTY WINDS   As was the case a week ago, we've been dealing with rain at the summit on this Sunday.  A storm system more typical of winter than summer has been impacting the region.  Rain began yesterday evening, and was most intense from around 5-8AM this morning.  Light rain and drizzle has continued into the afternoon.  So far, the storm total for this event is 1.44 ins. of rain.  This will ensure a positive precipitation departure for June, the first time that has happened since February.    Well below normal temperatures have accompanied the rain today, with the temperature hovering in the mid-upper 50s all day so far.  Winds have been a factor today as well, particularly late last night and into this morning.  Winds increased from the SE last night, and have gradually shifted to NNE today.  Average wind speeds have been around 20mph today, with some gusts near 40mph. We're also close to our lowest barometer reading for the month so far, with the sea-level pressure falling below 29.70 ins. Hg. Today's Observations: 7 A.M.
