BLUE HILL METEOROLOGICAL OBSERVATORY MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS ELEVATION 635 FEET, 10 MILES SSW OF BOSTON, MA DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY SUNDAY, JUNE 7, 2015 ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME PARTLY CLOUDY SKIES AND WARMER TEMPERATURES BEGIN THE DAY After another cool morning with a low of 49F, temperatures have rebounded into the 70's as dry air moves into the region. Some high clouds have been moving through the region with multiple types of cirrus clouds seen today. The air at the surface has been very dry leading to good visibilities for the day with an average visibility of 70 miles but a thin haze has begun to move into the region reducing visibilities as we head into the afternoon. Winds so far have been very light and variable throughout the day with a maximum gust at only 14 mph by the 1 o'clock observation. The dry weather helped to create a small brush fire Northeast of the Observatory with smoke noted for the 1 o'clock observation. Today's Observations: 7 A.M.
