BLUE HILL METEOROLOGICAL OBSERVATORY  MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS ELEVATION 635 FEET, 10 MILES SSW OF BOSTON, MA DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY MONDAY, JANUARY 12, 2015     ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME SIGNIFICANT WARM-UP OVERNIGHT, MIXED PRECIPITATION ENTERS THE REGION BY MORNING Temperatures were quick to warm from yesterday morning's  7:00 AM EST observation at 10F, climbing to above freezing by approximately 1:00 AM EST this morning. Partly to mostly cloudy skies yesterday filled in overnight, with overcast altostratus visible for this morning's 7:00 AM EST observation  Light rain mixed with ice pellets began this morning at 7:37 AM  EST, with ice pellets ending not long after. As of the 10:00 AM  EST observation just a trace of rain and ice pellets were  recorded.  By the 1:00 PM EST observation rain was slightly steadier with 0.03 inches of rain measured between the 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM EST observations by both the standard and ASOS gauges. Visibility was reduced significantly with only 7 miles visible in all directions with stratus fractus present in all directions.
