BLUE HILL METEOROLOGICAL OBSERVATORY  MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS ELEVATION 635 FEET, 10 MILES SSW OF BOSTON, MA DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY THURSDAY, APRIL 23, 2015     ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME BRIEF SHOWER OVERNIGHT FOLLOWING VERY GUSTY WEDNESDAY Winds that were already gusty by yesterday's 1:00 PM EST observation continued to intensify, reaching a peak gust of 52 MPH from the S on both the ASOS and RMY wind sensors. The fastest mile, coming at 7:29 PM EST, was registered at 40 MPH from the SSW.  Showers moved through the area not long after winds began to subside last evening, bringing 0.03 inches of new rain. Clear to partly cloudy conditions were present this morning following an overnight low of 37F. By the 1:00 PM EST observation showers and virga were distant and visible in most directions, though excellent visibilities of nearly 80 miles was also present. Cold temperatures have persisted today, with a maximum reading so far of 48F. Today's Observations: 7 A.M.
