BLUE HILL METEOROLOGICAL OBSERVATORY MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS ELEVATION 635 FEET, 10 MILES SSW OF BOSTON, MA   DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY WEDNESDAY, APRIL 8, 2015     ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME MORE COLD WEATHER TODAY WITH GUSTY NE WINDS TEMPERATURES STRUGGLE TO REACH LOW 40'S   Considerable cloudiness and gusty NE winds have holding temperatures down to the low 40's by the noon hour EDT.    Both ponds remain mostly frozen, with Houghton's pond at 90% and Ponkapoag Pond at nearly 100% still. Both ponds have not completely thawed yet, meaning as of today, April 8th, both ponds are in the top ten latest thaws on record (see list below).   The month of March averaged 4.3 degrees colder than normal, and also finished 2.33 inches of total liquid precipitation drier than normal. Snowfall however, was just about normal, with 13.3 inches falling, just 0.6 inches above the norm.
