BLUE HILL METEOROLOGICAL OBSERVATORY  MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS ELEVATION 635 FEET, 10 MILES SSW OF BOSTON, MA DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 7, 2014    ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME STRONG STORMS MOVE OUT IN FRONT OF LAST EVENING'S COLD FRONT- NUMEROUS REPORTS OF DAMAGING WIND AND FREQUENT LIGHTNING Once again most of yesterday's severe weather  and precipitation managed to stay well away from Blue Hill, only bringing a trace before midnight  yesterday, and 0.03 inches early this morning. Our annual deficit for precipitation has now  surpassed -4.5 inches. Yesterday's peak gust of 33 MPH from the SW  appeared unremarkable when compared with near 60 MPH gusts being produced from several storm cells to our  north.  This morning's low of 62F, coupled with rising pressure and dry conditions have produced significant relief from yesterday's heat and humidity. Yesterday's maximum of 90F represents only the 3 day of 90 or  above this summer, now with 2 days occurring in September. Today's Observations: 7 A.M.
