BLUE HILL METEOROLOGICAL OBSERVATORY MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS ELEVATION 635 FEET, 10 MILES SSW OF BOSTON, MA   DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY SUNDAY, APRIL 13, 2014 ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME   SHOWERS BRING LIGHT RAIN THIS MORNING AS WARM FRONT MOVES THROUGH   A warm front has been moving through the region during the day, setting the stage for some expected well above normal warmth tomorrow.  Light rain showers moved into the area during the mid-morning hours, providing only 0.04 inches of rain here at the summit.  Temperatures, which had risen to 50F before the rain began, fell back to 45F as the showers moved through.  They then began to rise slowly again, and by 2PM EDT we had reached a high of 60F, though that will likely continue to rise.  With warm air moving in behind the warm front, it is possible that we will approach our record high for tomorrow of 80F set in 1945.  The sky has remained mostly cloudy into the afternoon, with just a few breaks of sunshine observed.  The wind came out of the south this morning but shifted to the north as the rain showers moved in.  It has gradually shifted from north to east and now south again as the day has gone on, with speeds mostly under 20mph, though a few gusts have reached 25mph during the early afternoon.   Today's Observations:   7 A.M.
