After two very cold days on January 2-3 warmer than normal temperatures have returned. This morning's low of 29 degrees was 11 degrees above the average minimum for this date. This has been a very dry month with only a trace of precipitation so far. At Blue Hill, 2012 finished as the warmest year on record by a significant margin.
