BLUE HILL METEOROLOGICAL OBSERVATORY MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS ELEVATION 635 FEET, 10 MILES SSW OF BOSTON, MA DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY SATURDAY, OCTOBER 6, 2012 ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME WARM AND BREEZY FROM THE SOUTH AHEAD OF AN APPROACHING COLD FRONT WITH BUILDING CLOUDS THIS AFTERNOON... The summit was shrouded in low level fog once again early this morning, though the sun was dimy visible through the fog. This burned off by 8 AM EST and was replaced by partial sunshine through much of the morning. Cumulus clouds began building by early afternoon as the air became more unstable. The sunshine warmed the temperture to the middle 70s by mid-day, though the increasing clouds will likely keep the high temperature today below the record for the date of 83 set in 1990 and 2007. The wind speeds have been increasing all morning from the south, and the peak gust so far has been 36 mph S at 11:45 AM EST. Today's observations: 7 A.M.
