There has been no sunshine so far today and the temperature has remained in the upper 50s for the most part so far today. The high temperature has been just 60 degrees in the early hours of the day. Rain showers began before sunrise and have continued much of the morning, with a period of steady rain at mid-day that became moderate rain for a time just after noon EDT. A total of 0.01 inch of rain was measured through 8 AM EDT this morning with an additional 0.15 falling in the six hours ending at 2 PM EDT. The visibility briefly dropped to 1/4 mile in dense fog as the ceiling lowered while the steady rain was ending just after noon EDT.
