According to preliminary estimates, approximately 2.75 inches of rain has fallen since midnight as of 1:00 PM EST this afternoon. This easily breaks the existing record of 1.72 inches in 1984. Including Saturday's accumulated precipitation, the storm has brought a total of 4.38 inches of rain so far. Early this morning a peak gust of 67 MPH ENE was reached, eclipsing the existing record of 66 MPH WNW set in 1982. Temperatures reached 45F this morning and have steadily declined throughout the day.
